The Sail Loft is a one bedroom, detached annex, offering luxury self catering accommodation in a quiet, friendly and relaxed environment on top of a hill, over looking instow beach and out towards Appledore and Lundy Island.

The Sail Loft is centrally heated and furnished simply but comfortably. Being equipped with all mod cons including – Electric Cooker with Halogen Hob, Microwave, Toaster, Coffee Machine, Washing Machine, Free Sat TV, DVD player and free Wi Fi access, it really is a home from home.

We provide bath towels, beach towels, hand towels, face cloths, bath robes, complimentary toiletries, and a hairdryer for use during your stay. We also provide a welcome pack of bread, butter, milk, orange juice, tea and coffee.
The Sail Loft is affordable luxury and great value for money, and with many of our customers coming back time after time you can be assured of a stress free stay.
Parking the car is no problem on the private driveway outside the garage doors (which are not in use) or on our lower tarmac drive.

Oh wow, how heavenly
this wonderful Sail Loft place
leisurely harbour entertainment
boats appearing at a gentle pace
Then the sea fret and the mist
came and swallowed up the view
the rows of seaside cottages
lost to the morning dew
Soft sands emerged
as the tide receded
a view to relax to
just what tired people needed
Back came the tide
filling up the harbour
could just sit and absorb
as the boats returned to moor
We hired bikes at Bideford
cycled 18 miles thru lovely trees
crossing the river over and over
following streams in a gentle breeze
Walked the coast and
reached cobbly Clovelly
back just in time to shop at Instows late open deli
As the sun finally went down
glowing amber over Lundy
we knew this marked the point…….
of our return to work on Monday!

27th October – 3rd November 2012 – “A great base for walking the South West Coast Path and enjoying excellent birdwatching all around the estuary – especially Spoonbills at Isley Marsh. After enduring rain, hail, mud (and some sunshine too!) it was a joy to come home to lovely, clean, warm accommodation and magnificent views.”
7th and 8th November 2012 – “We stay in Instow and Appledore often, so we have stayed in a few holiday homes. I say homes because to us this area of North Devon is home. We come and really relax as we’ve seen and done most everything. This accommodation shines above the rest for the 2 of us. The views are wonderful. We’re only sorry it was only for 2 nights. Lovely bed linen, towels and great kitchen equipment. We will be back for longer next time.”
